Passage AI

Passage AI reduces fraud and evictions using advanced AI

Overview

As a Product Design Intern at a small startup, I designed mockups for a product using advanced AI to combat rental fraud. I created high-fidelity prototypes in Figma, implemented designs into Webflow, and conducted user research for effective testing and feedback.

Discover

When I started my research I wanted to learn about the problems that leasing agents faced. At the discovery phase of a startup, my job was to create a user-friendly demo to bring in new clients in a quick amount of time

Goal

Pitch a product that will help leasing agents find and keep track of trustable renters

Design

I wanted to approach this by creating designs and showing them to our target audience

User Testing

I wanted to test out the designs with leasing agents and find what they thought of the product idea. I observed as they interacted with the designs and asked questions regarding their initial thoughts and needs.

Findings & Recommended Next Steps

Although at first I thought that visual design was a large area of opportunity, testing the product we found that this was not a blocker for agents when doing their work. Through user research I found that although there was a need for a centralized place for leasing agents to keep track of their applicants, platforms like Snappt and other applications have been widely accepted by larger properties therefore entering this market would require more iterations and collaboration from the business.

As leasing agents are hesitant to change their current processes, it meant going back to the drawing board
